The roimata is a long, drop type pendant characterised by a generally pointed or rounded base, like the teardrop for which it's named. This particular roimata is a lovely long example fashioned from a hand-length piece of elegantly frosted stone originally found on the Toaroha River.
 
Measuring in at 136mm long and 37mm wide, this is a sizeable piece intended for the lover of the large. The deep greens breaking through its more frosted tones complement them elegantly, and the high gloss finish shows off this interesting colour contrast to best effect. A lovely piece of stone as suited to formal as to everyday casual wear.
